いつでもどこでもインターネットを使うことができるスマートフォン。スマートフォンとあえて距離を置いて生活する「デジタルデトックス(解毒)」が現在注目されているようです。スマートフォンのようなデジタル機器を毎日のように使い過ぎると脳が疲労してしまい、物忘れや無気力などの症状を引き起こす危険性が高いそうです。たまにはスマホを放り出し、脳を休めてみるのはどうでしょうか?
デジタルデトックスはスウェーデンの精神科医が「スマホ脳」を刊行したのをきっかけに関心が高まっていきました。総務省の全国調査ではスマホを保有する世帯は86・8%で、ほとんどの人がスマートフォンを使っている状況。
そして、平日のネット利用時間は平均168・4分とのこと。スマホと脳の関係に詳しい脳神経外科医によると、デジタル機器を休みなく使い続けると、大量の情報が休みなく流入し、脳内で整理されないまま「ごみ屋敷」のようにたまり、「脳過労」の状態に陥ると説明しました。
こういった状態になると、物忘れやいらだち、抑うつなどの症状が起きる恐れがあるとのこと。画面上は鮮やかな色で楽しい気分を引き起こすよう工夫され、ニュースやSNSを読んだりキーワード検索したりすれば関連記事や広告が表示されて関心を途切れさせない。パソコンとスマホを同時に使ったり、複数のアプリを使ったりすることも負担が大きいそうです。
医師が勧めるのは1日の利用時間と目的を書き出すこと。そして、1日に5分でも使わない時間を増やすこと。トイレや寝室など使わない時間と場所を決めることもお勧めだそうです。
